Referral Program Rules

1. Overview

Pin & Paper offers two ways to share the platform and be rewarded for it. Both reward you for introducing new players to the Premium Player Pass — the $4.99/mo subscription that unlocks teams, challenges, rankings, and career records.

• Creator Program — for approved creators. Earn recurring cash commission on the Premium subscriptions of players you refer.
• Player Referrals — for any player. Give a friend their first month free, and earn a free month yourself once they become a paying subscriber.

2. Player Referrals

Every player gets a personal referral link. Share it with friends who don't yet have a Pin & Paper account.

• Your friend signs up through your link and gets their first month of Premium Player Pass free.
• You earn one free month of Premium — but only after your friend completes their first paid billing cycle.
• There is no cash reward for player referrals; rewards are always free subscription time.

3. Creator Program

The Creator Program is for approved creators — people with an audience of golfers who want to earn from sharing Pin & Paper. You apply, we review, and once approved you receive a creator link and dashboard.

• Earn 20% recurring commission on every successful Premium Player Pass payment from a player you referred — for as long as that subscriber stays active.
• Commissions are paid monthly, with a $25 minimum payout and a 30-day clearance period before earnings become payable.
• Commissions are never generated on failed, refunded, or charged-back payments.

4. Eligibility

• Referrals only count for brand-new accounts — someone who has never had a Pin & Paper account.
• You cannot refer yourself, and you cannot create a second account to claim a reward. Self-referrals are void.
• Rewards are only earned on genuine, paid Premium Player Pass subscriptions.
• Creator commissions require an approved creator account in good standing.

5. How Referrals Are Attributed

• Attribution is last-click: the most recent referral link a person clicked is the one that counts.
• A referral link sets a 30-day cookie. If the person signs up within 30 days of clicking, the referral is credited.
• Ownership of a referred account is frozen at the moment the account is created and never changes. Once a referral is attributed, it stays with that referrer permanently.

6. What Never Earns a Reward

Rewards — free months or commissions — are only created by real, completed payments. You will never earn on:

• Payments that fail and are never collected.
• Payments that are refunded — a refund reverses any related reward.
• Payments that are charged back or disputed.
• Existing accounts, self-referrals, or fake/duplicate accounts.

7. FTC Disclosure Guidance for Creators

If you earn commissions, U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules require you to clearly disclose that relationship whenever you share your link. Disclosure must be clear, up front, and hard to miss.

• Say something plain, like: "I earn a commission if you sign up using my link."
• Use clear hashtags such as #ad or #affiliate where appropriate for the platform.
• Place the disclosure where people will actually see it — not buried at the bottom or hidden behind a click.

8. Frequently Asked Questions

When do I get my free month for a player referral?

After your referred friend completes their first paid billing cycle. The free month they get comes first; your free month follows once they pay.

Can I earn both a free month and a commission for the same person?

We're still confirming exactly how a player free-month reward and a creator commission interact for the same subscriber. Until that's published here, email support@pinandpaper.co if this could apply to you.

What happens if my referred subscriber cancels or gets a refund?

Commissions stop when the subscription ends and are reversed for any refunded or charged-back payment. Free-month rewards already earned from a genuine completed billing cycle are not clawed back unless the payment is reversed.

How do I become a creator?

Creator applications are not open to everyone yet. When the application and approval process goes live, we'll link it here. To register your interest in the meantime, email support@pinandpaper.co. Approval is at Pin & Paper's discretion.
