Fraud & Abuse Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Overview

The referral and creator programs only work when rewards reflect genuine new subscribers. This policy prohibits any attempt to game the system and describes how we enforce against it. It applies to all participants — players and creators — and works alongside the Referral Program Rules and Creator Program Agreement.

2. Prohibited Behavior

  • Self-referrals — referring yourself, or signing up through your own link.
  • Creating fake, duplicate, or throwaway accounts to generate referrals or rewards.
  • Creating fake or artificial Premium subscriptions to trigger commissions.
  • Using shared, stolen, or another person's payment method to fake genuine signups.
  • Chargeback abuse — subscribing to trigger a reward, then disputing the charge.
  • Automated signups, bots, scripts, or other tooling to inflate referrals.
  • Any scheme designed to create artificial commissions or free-month rewards.

3. Enforcement

We monitor for fraudulent and abusive activity. Where we identify it, we may take one or more of the following actions, at our discretion and depending on severity:

  • Flagging accounts and referrals for review.
  • Pausing payouts while we investigate.
  • Removing commissions and free-month rewards tied to the activity.
  • Suspending or permanently terminating the accounts involved.
  • Forfeiting pending and unpaid balances associated with the abuse.
  • Referring unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.

4. Reversed Payments

Because commissions are never generated on failed, refunded, or charged-back payments, any reward tied to a reversed payment is removed. If a reversal is discovered after a payout, the amount may be deducted from future balances. See the Payout Policy.

5. Reporting Abuse

If you believe someone is abusing the referral or creator programs, email support@pinandpaper.co or use the contact form.
